Description
The Pureflow AirDog II 4G 165 GPH A6SABC413 Air/Fuel Separation lift pump, or Fuel Preporator, is a must have upgrade for your 2015-2016 6.6L LML Duramax. The fuel system on your LML is the heart of the vehicle’s performance and reliability. This low pressure (8-10 psi) LML lift pump mounts in front of the fuel tank to the frame jig . The pressure side feeds the CP4 injection pump through the factory feed line on the frame. The suction/fuel supply side connects directly to the factory quick disconnect fittings on the fuel module making the install very straight forward. The Duramax sees the most benefit from adding an AirDog lift pump fuel system.
Considerations
Over the life of your diesel pickup truck there may be unnecessary stress on your fuel system. High mileage and/or additional performance modifications such as a tuner or oversized injectors can weaken your injection pump, or CP4, in a shorter amount of time than with the stock fuel system. This may result in a drop in performance, reliability, and fuel economy. Installing an AirDog II-4G lift pump will strengthen, protect, and in most cases extend the life of the fuel system and related parts. The supplied fuel filter (FF100-2) and water separator (WS100) filter your fuel down to a 2 micron rating, which surpasses the stock fuel filters capability. The AirDog 2 4G also helps by eliminating spray pattern disruption from air entering the diesel fuel system. The result is overall increased engine efficiency by keeping the injection timing where it should be thus allowing a more complete burn of the fuel entering the cylinder.
The patented AirDog® II-4G has been quality engineered to remove entrained air and water vapor from diesel fuel. The result is a compact, long lasting, efficient, and quiet fuel system made with superior quality.
Advancing the AirDog® Tradition with the 4th Generation Fuel System!
The AirDog® II-4G system improves engine performance by:
•Maintaining Correct Injection Timing
•Eliminating Spray Pattern Disruption

AirDog® II-4G Fuel Air Separation System featuring Demand Flow Technology and Enhanced Features
AirDog® II-4G is designed to operate at flows and pressures beyond the maximum requirements of the engine. It receives fuel under vacuum from the fuel tank containing entrained air/vapor, particulate contaminates and unknown quantities of water.
The fuel passes through the water separator which removes the large particulate contaminates that could damage or jam the gear rotor fuel pump. The fuel, with only entrained air/vapor and tiny particulate contaminates remaining enters the fuel pump.
The fuel, now under positive pressure flow, enters the fuel filter. As the fuel passes through the filter media and the remaining particulate contaminates are caught and contained, the entrained air/vapor is also separated. Through the positive fuel air separation features of the patented AirDog® II-4G the separated air/vapor is discharged from the filter and back to the fuel tank through the Primary Air/Vapor Discharge Port.
The fuel passing through the filter media is now free of contaminates and power robbing air/vapor. At pressures and flows able to meet the needs of the engine, it exits the fuel filter through two passageways. First, the fuel for the engine passes into the fuel pickup tube and on to the engine. Then, the excess fuel not needed by the engine recycles internally through the pressure regulator back to the water separator.
